What is The Soul of Zeppelin? It’s the vision of taking Led Zeppelin’s music back to its soul by blending Carl Baldassarre’s mastery and interpretation of Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin’s repertoire with the soul, funk and blues background of Marcus Scott. In addition to Nick D’Virgilio on drums, the Soul of Zeppelin band also features jazz keyboardist Jacob Dupre (artist in residence – Sweetwater Music) and bassist Al Rolik (from Baldassarre’s Revival band). Baldassarre’s Soul of Zeppelin show will present Led Zeppelin’s music like you’ve never heard before. This is for one show only, don’t miss out!
Carl Baldassarre is an international recording artist, guitarist, composer and musicologist. He has been playing and studying Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin for more than 40 years. He has recently collaborated with vocalist Marcus Scott who is most recently off a run with the legendary band, Tower of Power. Carl & Marcus are working on new material together which blends their two worlds (classical & rock music with soul, funk, and blues). The Soul of Zeppelin show bears witness to the message of the universal language of music and the alchemy of influences that became Led Zeppelin!
