(New York, NY) – GRAND BOULEVARD: During the isolation of covid, guitarist/educator/composer Carl Baldassarre amassed a significant and diverse recording catalog with products to be released over the next several years. His inaugural solo album GRAND BOULEVARD is scheduled for release on April 28th, 2023. Guided by decades of experience as a musician and as a serious student of composition, the offering runs the gamut of musical genres, incorporating guitar rock, funk, ballads, R&B, reggae, and orchestral pop, all featuring Baldassarre as chief axeman and composer.
GRAND BOULEVARD is produced by Phil Naish, who has produced Grammy Award-winning albums and has played on albums with such luminaries as Elton John, Kenny Rogers, and Kenny Chesney. GRAND BOULEVARD was recorded at world-famous Abbey Road Studios in London (with the incomparable London symphonic orchestra) as well as Soultrain Sound Studios in Nashville and Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne, IN. In addition to Carl Baldassarre on guitar, the album has several award-winning artists including vocals by Charles Iverson, Marcus Scott, and Jonatha Brooke; drums by Nick D’Virgilio (Genesis, Tears For Fears, Big Big Train), percussion by Walfredo Reyes, Jr. (Chicago), and keyboards by producer Phil Naish to name a few.
